The concept of this dedicated website by His Excellency Mohamed Al-Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan, aspired to further advance mutually beneficial relations for both the Sultanate of Oman and Japan, as the two nations celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of their official Diplomatic Relations in 2022.

Historically dating as far back as the 17th century, the relationship between the two nations was founded on mutual respect. Both governments have since then continued to foster and develop this friendship with reciprocal trust and cooperation. These committed relations are now reflected in a wide range of sectors.

This website commemorates the economic, political, and cultural partnerships between the two nations, and aims to bring a better understanding and appreciation of the strategic importance of the relations, and pay tribute to those who have contributed meaningfully to making Oman-Japan relations a success story.

This work not only showcases those ties that bind Oman and Japan, but also the promise that these ties hold for the future. We hope that this website will be one of many steps in further deepening the long and fruitful relationship between the two nations.
