Speech of His Excellency Ambassador
Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Busaidi
It is great honor to be the ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan, while celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both friendly countries. It is also a great honor to stand in the same line of many ambassadors before me who served at various stages to strengthening relations between our two nations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1972.
We inaugurate this website to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries and all the combined efforts of leaders and former ambassadors from the two sides over the past 50 years. This website is inspired by the book (The 40th anniversary of Oman-Japan Relations) that was launched by my colleague and former Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Khaled bin Hashel Al Musalhi, and can be considered the second edition.
We hope that this site plays an effective role in documenting our countries efficacious relations over the years, and that it becomes a multilingual platform to support, consolidate and further accelerate exchanges in a multidate of fields and levels. I take this opportunity to thank all the companies that have supported the website and look forward to a prospers next 50 years.
This site also focuses on the Modern Sultanate of Oman and demonstrates how it’s successfully transitioning towards diversifying its economy in conjunction with the global trends, and its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050 and developing renewable energies, especially green Hydrogen and Ammonia.
In this context, I invite Japanese companies to explore the unparalleled and unique business and investments opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman.
I would also like to thank and appreciate all the friendship associations and clubs in both countries who have played one of the most significant roles in strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
